Home Away - From Away

I believe boarding should be about more than simply having somewhere for your dog to stay.

 

When your dog comes to stay, I want them to feel like they are having their own little holiday too! 🐾

Every dog is different, so I take the time to understand their normal routine, feeding requirements, personality, likes and dislikes before their stay.

From morning cuddles and walks to relaxing at home and plenty of companionship, your dog will receive personalised care throughout their stay.

One - to- One

My one-to-one dog boarding service is designed to provide a calmer and more personalised experience.

 

I generally board one client dog or two from the same household, at a time, unless dogs are from the same household. This means your dog isn’t placed into a busy boarding environment with lots of unfamiliar dogs.

This can be particularly beneficial for dogs who:

  • Prefer human company
  • Don’t enjoy busy environments
  • Are nervous or anxious
  • Are reactive around other dogs
  • Need a quieter environment
  • Have a specific routine
  • Simply prefer having plenty of attention to themselves!

Before Your Dog’s Stay

I don’t expect you to simply hand over your dog to someone they’ve never met.

That’s why every new client starts with a free meet & greet. This gives us the opportunity to meet, discuss your dog’s personality and routine, talk through any requirements and make sure we’re the right fit for one another.

For boarding clients, settling-in sessions are also required before an overnight stay. These give your dog the chance to become familiar with me and their surroundings before their main holiday.

This can make a huge difference to helping your dog feel confident and comfortable when their actual stay arrives.

Your Dog’s Saftey Comes First 

Your dog is part of your family, and I understand how important it is to know they are being cared for properly while you’re away.

Charly’s Fluffy Companions Club is:

  • Licensed for home dog boarding by Thanet Council
  • Fully insured
  • DBS checked
  • Canine First Aid trained
  • Level 2 qualified in Dog Training & Canine Behaviourism

I also require the appropriate vaccinations and documentation before your dog’s stay, helping to keep every dog in my care safe and protected.

Our history

Before your dog’s first overnight stay, I require settling-in sessions to help them become familiar with me, my home and their new surroundings. These sessions give your dog the opportunity to build trust at their own pace and experience the environment before their boarding stay begins. They are particularly helpful for dogs who are nervous, anxious or unfamiliar with staying away from home. Most importantly, they allow me to learn more about your dog’s personality, routine and individual needs, helping me make their first overnight stay as calm, comfortable and positive as possible.

These sessions will be an extra charge.
